Seniors plz help: Restoration period and have to complete landing procedures

My work permit extension was rejected. I am within the 90 day restoration period.I havent yet restored my status .I have received my passport from Detroit and want to complete landing procedure.
How do I go about?? Can I leave Canada and cross the US border and come back to Canada as I have US visa Or I can even go to India and come back and complete landing procedure ??
Or do I have to restore my status in Canada as a visitor and only then am I allowed to leave and re-enter Canada (from US or India) and complete landing procedure ??

Your choice. When you leave Canada, you would have complied with the temporary nature of your status and you're not applying for another temporary status.
