I made a FSW application to the Canadian Embassy in Paris 3 years ago. My application status is "in process" ever since. Last july, I had a new born baby and I asked for her to be added to my application. I had difficulty getting the birth certificate which resulted in delaying her addition. now she is 10 months old and not added yet to my application. I received a letter from the Canadian Embassy saying that if the baby exceeds 3 months of age and is not added, the main application can not add her to the application and have to make a re-application! at this satge a reapplication is really very hard, so is there any other solution for me? seniors please help!

why you can not get birth certificate ::)

Any advice will be appreciated! seniors, what should i do to add a baby who is 10 months old? is it possible or should I re-apply? regulations say it is not possible if the baby is more than 3 moths old, but do they follow it literally or there is some room for flexibility? any ideas?

Hi there,

I wish I could give an answer to your reply. The only reason I am writing this is so that some one can help you. I guess you will have to explain very convincingly to the CHC what kind of difficulty you had in getting the birthc certificate? If they can accpet your "difficulty" of almost 10 months, then probably they might listen. Wish could be of better help to you.

Many thanks Mirza. An explanation letter is a good option though I doubt they'll get convinced by it. Seniors plz was there any similar case before? any ideas about a similar case happened in the past or you heard of/read about/were told about? thank you Mirza again, I really appreciate your will to help.
