Hello All

VO has asked for relative's relative's travel history and income tax papers but the applicant is unable to ask for it to his/her relative's relative. applicant is shy and thinks that his/her relative's relative wont reveal it- it does make sense, why would someone reveal his/her private matters to his/her relative's relative. applicant has got some sign about from them. What could be explained to the VO about it.

this is not a matter of shyness. tell him / her that applicant needs for canadian immigration and its serious. if you tell visa office this excuse i think they not gonna accept.

I got a cold relation with my relative's relative.
so I got the sign that he/she wouldnt give his/her private papers to a distant relative.
In this world, Nothing can be taken for granted.
My relative gave me his/her papers but beyond that neither do I nor does my relative has any control.

Hi
You have to try and get the docs or loss the relative point as the VO will be forced to assess application based on the available docs which will be too bad.
You should have discuss this before including the person in the application.

My relative gave me all his papers. I have claimed points from him.
Now VO wants relative's wife's travel history and bank papers- my relative's wife thinks its tooo private and confidential which she doesnt want to reveal to me nor to her husband.

I have been given an option to explain under what reasons I might be unable to provide the required paper from the VO

If the relatives's spouse refuses to provide the documents, you have no choice but to tell immigration that and hope it will be ok.

The VO has a reason for asking for this doc.

The question is if they are satisfied that his relative is truly his relative, is a Canadian PR or citizen and resides in Canada. The reason they want the extra documents from the spouse is because they might not believe that the relative resides in Canada and want extra proof. If he can not get the documents they want, then the VO will have to look at if the evidence given is enough to say that the relative resides in Canada or if they will refuse this relative and he will lose the 5 points.

My relative's spouse is an introvert person and does not believe in revealing income matters to her spouse.
I have heard that she suffers from emotional insecurity; it means, her husband could impose unwanted and unexpected things on her if he knew her income matters. My relative is currently residing in Canada and I have proved it by giving his Latest Bank statement to the VO.

Thanks Leon and Bennyameh, . I am expecting more views from others . keep them coming in.

A bank statement doesn't prove a person is residing in Canada. If you want those 5 points, you are going to have to prove the person is actually residing in Canada. If your relative is unwilling to provide what the VO has requested, then you probably aren't going to get the adaptability points. For example, my brother in law has a Swiss bank account, he has never lived in Switzerland.

Could the relative's relative, without revealing their income, get a statement from their employer, basically saying, so-and-so has worked for this company located in city-a in province-b as a full time (or part time) employee since date-x until present? That kind of letter would definitely help convince immigration that they live in Canada.

I don't think the employer would have a problem at all writing such a letter. People get them all the time when they want to apply for a loan and need to prove that they are gainfully employed. Any employer has a standardized letter like that, just has to fill in the name and date of hire. To get a loan, the salary is always included but it wouldn't be a problem to skip it. Costs the employer a couple of strokes of the delete key when preparing the letter.

The main problem is I got a cold relation with my relative's spouse. She wouldnt give me anything I want from her. Issue of Residing in Canada has been solved before by providing my relatives paid bills in person.
Currently the problem stays at providing Travel history and Tax papers to me by my relative's spouse. My relative's spouse does not believe in revealing her income matters to anyone, at least not to a distant relative like me. on top of everything I had a hot discussion with her that led her taking this decision towards me.

Important note: I have provided all the required papers of my relative from whom I am claiming points. under which law VO can reject me if relative's spouse's papers arent provided to the office?

From this, we should learn a lesson that not to depend on "Relatives" unless they are very closed one (such as brothers or sisters).

After applying, we have to be in begging situation from both ( relatives & immigration) side.

Finally, its upto the Applicant choice whether to claim relative points or not.
