Could you please give a comment on the following situation?

I have been able to secure an employment reference letter from my employer which indicates the job responsibilities that closely match with a particular NOC code that qualifies for the CEC.
My pay scale is about the average of what the folks employed in this occupation will earn.
My employment reference letter indicates the NOC code.
However (and this is the concern): My position title in nowhere in the list of titles given on the NOC website for the NOC code I am using. Could this cause a problem in your opinion?

The title doesn't matter, it is the duties that are performed.

Hi PMM,

I really need your expertise to review my duties if they march or not, please please please.

I will include in this post two things, first is my duties from my job as it was submitted, and my duties from my NOC 2231. However, I have been having some doubts since I submitted my application if they are matching or not since the NOC duties is too general and my job is too specific. Therefore, it would be really appreciated from anyone to go over the duties below:

My duties as mentioned in the letter:

Mr. ------- as a Civil Engineering Technologist his duties include a variety of structural engineering functions related to the services we provide for construction review, building retro-fit and building investigation. These include the following:
-Design
-Review of shop drawings
-Review of structural work under construction
-Issuing site instructions or change notices
-Attendance at site meetings
-Investigation of building components
-Report writing, specification, cost and material estimates and design of retro-fit or repair details.

HR Canada NOC 2231:

Civil engineering technologists perform some or all of the following duties:
-Develop engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches
-Prepare construction specifications, cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports
-Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage -and water supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings and structures to provide data for engineering projects
-Conduct or supervise inspection and testing of construction materials
-May supervise, monitor and inspect construction projects.

Civil engineering technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
-Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
-Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage and water --supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings and structures to provide data for engineering projects
-Perform other technical functions in support of civil engineering activities.

YOUR ANSWER AND TIME WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED.

As long as your role and responsibilities matches close to 70-80 % to particular NOC as per HRSDC matrix, you should be fine. CEC won't put weight on your designation or position but the kind of work you do and that should match up with what is list under HRSDC in particular NOC, as long as you match this and you go employment letter with same ..you are good to go !
