When the request for the passport comes, how long do you have to send it in?

The issue we are facing is that we may be on a multi-month trip while we wait for approval and would potentially not be able to send the passport right away. Will this be a problem?

Dear Julian, in my case i sent my pp to the embassy after 1 month & i got my pp with visa after exact 1 month.

it's 60 days from the date the letter sent (not received); but also there is a visa validity date (1 year after medicals done) - so be sure you'll get the passport before visa expires

It would be worthwhile trying to get a response from someone who is going through the same VO as you. We had 45 days to send Mr Cowtown's passport in from the date they requested it (through London, so his request came via email).

I recieved my PP request this morning via email and it said I have until August 30 to submit it.
