Sending Passport From Canada to India

Folks - Do you know if it is OK to send passport from Canada to India? Has anyone couriered passport to India?
Kindly share your expereience

I know the reverse (from India to US/Canada) is not permitted through courier.

I am hoping someone can answer this question.

It's illegal to courier the passport both ways.

You should either deliver the passport yourself (i.e. fly to India) or send the passport with a trusted friend or family member who is traveling from Canada to India.

You cant send the Passport via courier as scylla said its Illegal, however you can send it through your friend/relative.... In addition you just need to give an authorization letter to your friend to carry your passport Oversears for Immigration Purposes.
