Hi,

I am fixing to send off all my documents for spousal sponsorship PR application. I have a ton of receipts and pictures...and also boarding passes and such to prove that our relationship is real and such (We are including a ton of credit card history copies and everything we can think of.)

My question is do I sent original receipts. I have receipts from movie theaters (that are also on the credit card) going to zoos, aquariums...parks...you name it. Do I include the originals or should I make copies. Or should I make copies for myself to keep, and send the originals?

Thank you. :)

We photo copied our receipts, a few to a page, to make it neater and more organized. This way we could title them as well. That being said, we didn't send random receipts. Our receipts were our apartment rental receipts, and wedding/ reception receipts. That's it.

What about cards from one person to another, do copies to them or send the actual cards?

Any engagement cards or wedding cards we received, we made a photo copy

Do you care if you get the cards back? There's always a chance you might not. So only send originals of what you are OK losing.

You only need to send originals of the IMM forms, police clearance certificate.

At the top of the document checklist it says "Send originals unless otherwise instructed".

Personally I photocopied birthday cards, wedding cards etc

Ok dokies I am just color photo copying everything then...yea I do want to keep cards and such lol...:)

Also doing copies of stuff like movies, zoo, wrist bands, etc...because with my luck and the way things go with me...I would rather be over doing things than get in trouble for not supplying proof...

Yup.

I sent in a bunch of originals documents/photos for my relationship support, expecting that they would send those back. But they didn't.

So unless you are fine with not getting your originals back, just send copies unless they explicitly request originals.

We sent anything official as an original. Everything else (cards, movie tickets, letters, etc) were photocopies with a note that we would produce originals upon request. We also sent them in black &white to save on ink costs.

I did photocopies...Cards, receipts from big purchases such as rings, earrings, necklaces, also tickets from movies, zoos, museums and other excursions. Also we included my hubbies Credit Card statements highlighting when he came down and we put the things on his Credit Card as proof...because of our failed border crossing close to 2 years ago and painting us as liars we are proving things 3 times over...

My packet for application is literally like 15 pounds of paper. Even though I am doing spousal sponsorship application I have had 5 people write letters providing stories and such that our relationship is real. About 100 photographs of us on our trips...etc...And I still feel like they will give us a hard time.
