Hi everyone!

I'm flying over to Toronto in December and I've been seeking accomodation. I've been talking to a landlord who's willing to rent me out his basement. Now, he told me he had a bad experience with a tenant in the past (the tenant said he had a work permit, but he didn't) and for that reason, he asked me to show him the documents I have showing I was approved for the visa. As of nos, I only have the letter of introduction but I'm reluctant in showing it because it displays the UCI.
Have you shared this document with a landlord before your arrival?
Thank you!

I am wondering why a landlord has anything to do with your study permit. All he should be concerned about is your funds (paying rent on time) and legal status. Cover the UCI number if you have to share though.
