Sending back passport to CHC.

Is it necessary to attach a cover letter while submitting pp back? B/z I read somewhere here that it is necessary. What would you people say about this?

And shall I send a photocopy of receipt that I received from the Doctor ( as a proof that I have done medical)

If cover letter is necessary, then I have written the following, Check it if there is any mistake.



Honorable Visa Officer,
In response to my application for Study Permit, I received Medical Report Form on Wednesday, 8th June 2011. Consequently, I got my medical tests done on 13th June by your Designated Medical Practitioner Doctor Abdul Wakil at International Organization for Migration (IOM) Karachi.

I am enclosing the followings;

1) Proof of medical exam i.e. the receipt provided by your Prescribed Medical Practitioner,

2) Passport

&

3) Proof of submition of semester fee.

but in the end do mention ur name application no, uci nos so that its easy for them to put ur docs in the file.

which numbers are you talking about dear? Those which are written on Medical Form?
These are;

Application number

OCI Number (Is it Oci or uci? I have photocopy of form, so it is not clear here) and

IMF Number

Write ur name, file number, passport numb and dob as well..and no need to write Honorable Visa officer.. come on man... better u write Dear Sir/Madam or Respected Sir/Madam... the rest is okkk...

the File number is on the medical form...by the name Application no...and the UCI...

no need to send them Cover Letter. I dnt know y pple do tht???

ur file no is the application No and the UCI is universal client identification. Its written on the top right corner of ur medical report form. write them both

I think cover letter is not a bad idea but i believe 1 should avoid over documentation.

Why 1 needs to provide file number and all that stuff in a cover letter if you providing back the original passport.

I have just submitted my PP at Gerry's. The Gerry's official said that no need to attach A Cover Letter and Medical Receipt. So, I just submitted passport & Fee Receipt. Ab Allah Nigehbaan. Allah Har kisi ko kaamiyabi ataa farmaye.... Ameen

ahen rite the same did tcs guy told me but i submitted covering letter with the passport. Actually the thing is that u have to make things easy for the chc official. The more u have organized and arranged ur application the lesser time would it take in processing.

Hmmm... You are right dear, but there were only two things (PP & Fee Receipt), so I didn't find it suitable to attach CL.

i personally believe that over documentation is not a good idea.

I just talked to one of my friends who is in canada, he told me the same thing that no need of cover letter and he told me something very pleasent for those who get medical calls for study permit application in Pakistan. He told me that 1 who receive medical get visa gets confirmed visa as it is decided by VO. Rejection is possible if incase 1 get something bad in medical. He said medical is the last thing to be checked by VO
