Sending back original passport as soon as one completes Medical or can one wait?

For study permit application made at CHC Isb. I am expecting a medical call somewhere in mid to end May. My understanding is that CHC will send back my original passport so that I can do my medical.

I may need my passport after that for a short trip abroad for a business meeting. Can I keep my passport until the time they are done with background checks etc and only send it to CHC once they ask for it? Or is it compulsory that I send it back as soon as I have done the medical using it?

After medical the processing takes almost 25 to 30 days (In Pakistan) and You cannot check that when your medical result will reach CHC Islamabad , So try to submit is back as soon as possible.........

I have not experienced it and also not seen it on this forum specially in case of student visa so why take a chance.
But i think in immigration cases they ask for passport after completing their process if i am not wrong.

Momi i want to ask you where did you get your medical done from. I received my passport on 09th june and was planning on returning it asap. However the Doctors who take the medical test are very busy. Dr. Abdul Wakil has given me an appointment of 28th june. I am really confused does it really take this long for a medical process in Pakistan?

yes during peak rush. these two appointed doctors in karachi are also handling applications from uk, nz and also immigrant applicants so there u have it....

btw, this information was shared my elder brother who went for his meds for his uk. there were diff counters for each country inside his clinic
