Hi there I am going through immigration with my wife who is an American citizen while I am a Canadian citizen. We have sent in our application however we did not have the results of the FBI background check yet so I attached a letter to the immigration package stating that I will send it as soon as I receive it. THe question is how would I go about doing that, I have the UCI I am just wondering if I need to write out a letter saying that it is to complete the immigration package with UCI #******** or is there a form I complete for sending additional information. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

the Sponsor Approval letter will have instructions for sending it to the visa office, it's best to wait to send it until after receiving sponsor approval and the file is forwarded to the visa office. More than likely your wife will not receive her UCI number until much later in the process, so you'll want to use the file number listed on the SA letter. they will be able to connect it properly with that information. I highly recommend not sending it before that point. it has a higher chance of getting lost if it's not sent directly to the visa office processing the file.
Agreed with the above. Wait until you have SA and the application has been sent to the local office for processing. If you sent the FBI cert to Mississauga now, they may not match the cert up with your application before it's forwarded to the local office.CDNPR2014 said:

what is listed as a way to contact the visa office? is there an address listed? if not, send a copy by case specific enquiry and ask for the best address to send the original report to. the sponsorship letter generally has language in it about sending the report and medical receipt if it hasn't already been submitted. this is usually standard language, so read the letter again very carefully.hungrydan39 said:

NO! DO NOT send it to Mississauga. The file is no longer there and it can get lost if you send it there. You want to send it directly to the visa office that is listed in the sponsor approval letter. Since the applicant is from the US, then the SA letter should reference Ottawa as the visa office.hungrydan39 said:
If the letter only gives an option to send a case specific enquiry, then as I suggested before, send a case specific enquiry with a copy of the record and ask them for a physical address of the visa office so you can send the original to them. 1. send a case specific enquiry to CIC noting you received an email with no attachment and request them to resend the attachment
2. order the GCMS notes for the file to see what request was made so you can make sure you can get the information they want. this can take 30 days to get, so the first recommendation is your best bet right now.
So then would the most sure fire way to send it properly be to wait till they request it? I suppose in the meantime I should still send an inquiry with a copy of the background check and ask them for a physical address as you said?CDNPR2014 said:

I have sent proof of relationship with the package including a large list of chat logs from Gmail dating back to 2013 to recent they aren't the logs opened up just a screenshot of the browsing list in gmail. We also have sent a bunch of photos of us together a couple of last year and three years ago. I do not see how this is insufficent what else should I send?
Also: The email did not provide an address they actually want us to scan in the documents and use them as a reply in the email.
Any help with suggestions of what additional proof of relationship would be wonderful they have given us a 30 day time limit before they try to make a decision based on what has already been submitted.
