Send application from USA or Canada?

Hello,

My wife is sponsoring me, I'm a student at the states, she is in Canada. I was wondering if it would be a problem if I mailed the application from the states.

Do the one sponsoring has to be the one mailing the app? or it does not matter who mails it?
