Semi-Skilled Immigrant Nominee Programs

I'm from America and desperately want to immigrate to Canada for many personal reasons. I'm a 20 year old female from America but am not sure how relevant that is. I don't have a degree or any work experience so I think I'll have to do Semi-Skilled but am willing to take any steps necessary to get PR.

I've read all over the net on sites that talk about the process but I still don't really understand what I'd have to do. I'm looking at Yukon's program because my impression is that it's easier to find work there as a foreigner. I'm living in the U.S now.

I know the process involves a work visa and work permit... are those the same thing? I also need a job offer before I can get these I think, and my employer has to do something called and LMIA for me... What is the first step though? Yukon says that I need 6 months relevant work experience to be nominated. Does that mean I have to work for 6 months in a similar job in America before I go to Yukon to work? Or I just need to work 6 months of the job in Yukon?

Is it easy to find one of these jobs in Canada? What if I work and then the employer abuses me and doesn't nominate me so that I can't get PR?
