Self-Employment Supporting Documents Needed?

If I worked as a freelance writer in addition to my full-time day job, but got paid in cash for the freelance writing gigs, would I still qualify for the self-employment program?

I checked the official immigration website, and I don't see any details on that.

Work is something you got paid for.
question is did you declare it in your taxes.
if you can prove it then they will consider it.
