SELF EMPLOYED - PROOF OF WORK EXPERIENCE

I showed 10 years of work experience in my application with 9 years in salaried job (have all the documents) + last 1 year in self employment.
The client for whom I was working for since May last year is not willing to give me any reference letter or contract letter as proof of contract. He however paid me in full for the services rendered and made payments in my bank account and by cheque.

Basis this I filed my Profit and loss and Balance sheet with my chartered accountant.
My business is registered under Delhi Shops and Establishment Act 1954 and I will provide a copy of this incorporation certificate with my employment documents, however what can I do if my client does not give me a reference and contract letter, is there any other way out.

If this is overseas experience, the points cap at 3 years. If it's Canadian experience, the points cap at 5 years. If it's not going to add more points, dont bother getting letters. Just add it to your personal history.

You said you had 9 years of experience so its calculated at 3 years or more for overseas experience. You would get the same score if it were 3 years or 5 years or 9 years.

Will this reference letter increase your score? If yes, pester him for it. If now, put it in personal history and not work history. You wont need the letter.

In my case I have 4.5 years of self-employed experience and prior to that 5 years of salaried experience. I have been working for small sized real estate clients who are (most of them) averse of releasing reference letters. What should I do? Should I add that to my personal history as well? Anyways I am not gaining any points for the self-employment experience to my CRS...
