The freelancer is paid according to the articles he produces. This method of remuneration uses “the slip” as the unit of calculation. It corresponds in principle to a production of 1500 characters (spaces included) and the gross price of the leaflet includes paid holidays, the 13th month, etc. Also, he receives a salary (and not royalties), accompanied by a payslip at the end of each month. Moreover, the payment of the freelancer is not linked to the publication of his article, but to the order or acceptance of the production, according to article L761-9 of the labor code.
