Hi everyone,
I am applying as a skilled worker through Express Entry. I've done my ECA and IELTS and stand at 452 points if I prove one year of work experience.
My work experience is as follows:
1.) 11 months full-time at company A
2.) 25 months registered as self-employed, I can provide self-employment records, invoices and bank statements and prove just above the minimum 1,560 hours required from three different clients on projects under my NOC stretched over 18 of those months as the rest of the projects fall under a different NOC
3.) 5 months full-time (and going) and current company B
It seems I can't use my 11 month and 5 month full-experiences because it has to be 12 months continuous full-time work so I'm only left with the self-employed experience option. Does it matter that the minimum of 1,560 hours of experience as self-employed is stretched over a period of 18 months (1,5 years) and not 12 or 24 months?
CIC website states it has to be:
12 months of full-time work:
30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours),
OR
equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
Should it strictly be a period of either 12 or 24 months? Anyone has been in a similar situation?
Thank you very much in advance for your time and help!
