Hello, me and my husband are both Japanese and has PR states in Canada. We lived Canada for many years then returned to Japan Oct 2021 and live there since then. we have two kids and one was born in Canada and has Canada and Japan dual citizen. another one was born in Japan and has only Japanese citizenship. they are both under 18. I am wondering if one of us ( me or my hubby) apply for Canadian citizenship and become Canadian, we as a family can choose either live in Canada or Japan not worried about PR RO. We most likely to continue living in Japan more than three years but we may want to live in Canada again in the future ( like 10 years from now) at this time we are both eligible to apply Canadian citizenship but since Japan is not accepting dual once of us have to give up Japanese citizenship.

if there is any suggestion or comment I'd appreciate it! thinking about options for future!

many thanks

It depends if Japan provides you with some sort of Birthright residence. Otherwise, you can adopt take Canadian Citizenship and live in Japan as workers.
