Seeking advise for my refugee claim

Hey everyone,
I’m pretty new to canada I did my refugee claim at the port of entry June 2023 and I have gotten my work permit and also my brown paper, I have also been refereed to refugee board, I have not heard back from them for my hearing date, it’s been 1 year and 1 month now, please you guys advise me on what to do, my background check was completed Jan 2024 I miss my wife and 2 kids and also getting worried about my marriage what can I do to get a hearing date

It can take up to 2 years to get a hearing so within normal processing times. Once you get protected person status then you can apply for PR for you and your family. That will take another 2 years.

Once a protected person, you can get a refugee travel document and you could travel to another country (not where you fled from and family lives) and meet up with your wife and children.
