Hi everyone,

I work as a pilot at a company based in Montreal, Quebec, where the base of operations is solely located. Currently, I am living in Vancouver.
I’ve been working full-time at the company for 6 months, and my open work permit is valid for another 2 years and 4 months.

I don't speak French yet, but I am hoping to receive my permanent residency within this time. I’m open to moving to any province,
so I’m seeking advice on which options might be best to expedite my PR process.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and any suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

Hi! Given your situation, the best way to expedite your PR process is to focus on the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and Express Entry. Since you're already in a skilled profession as a pilot, some provinces may have pathways that prioritize workers like you. Quebec might be more challenging without French, but provinces like British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta often have faster routes for skilled workers, and improving your French could help you with both PNPs and Express Entry. Since you're open to moving, consider relocating to a province where your occupation is in demand and where you can build language skills, as that will speed up your PR chances.

Any chance of moving to an employer outside of Quebec? Is there a hub in Vancouver with other staff?
