Seeking Advice on Finding a Software Developer Job in Canada from Belgium after CRP

Hello everyone,

I’m a software developer currently based in Belgium.
I recently received my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CRP) for Canada, and I’ll be moving there soon.
I’m now looking to start my job search before my arrival and would greatly appreciate any advice or tips you could offer.

Here’s a bit more about my situation:

• I have 2 years of experience in software development.
• I’ve heard that some employers might prefer candidates who are already in Canada, but I’m fully authorized to work as soon as I land.
• I’m not sure if it's realistic to secure a job offer while I’m still in Belgium, or if I should wait until I’ve settled in Canada.

Has anyone here gone through a similar experience or have any advice on how to approach job searching in Canada from abroad?
Any tips on which platforms, recruiters, or strategies might help me connect with potential employers?
