security clearances used for work permit also

can i use the security clearances that were sent in with my PR for a work permit application also?

the originals are with CIC, so am asking if they would use those that are there already or if i would have to get them all over again.

the clearances proved nearly impossible to get the first time so i am scared to find out the answer to this.

Assume you mean Police Criminal Records checks. Two separate applications. If you are applying for a WP then you need new PCCs.

oh dear god, that will prove near impossible. taking 3-4 months to get the ones i need for PR! quite discouraging.
