Securing our stay

Hi All,
I need an advice. I arrived from Europe to Quebec with my fiancee who got a contract here. She has a work permit and I received the open work permit. The work permits are both valid for one year and we are working in the IT sector. I understand that our work permits are dependent on her contract, which might got terminated early. Is there a way to secure our stay Canada? Is it possible for me to get an independent work permit and get her an open work permit?
What's the best way to handle it?

Your SOWP still valid even your fiancee quit the job.
Your fiancee WP allow her to stay in Canada even if she quit the job (but not allowed to work)

You can get anew independent WP from a employer with LMIA.
