Securing a job offer

Hi there,

I have a profile in the Express Entry pool but my points are quite low (467 due to my common-law partner) and to improve it I started looking for jobs in Canada. But mostly I am refused because I am not in Canada already

Here's the think, I am exempt of the LMIA (under the francophone mobility program), I am trilingual (including French and English), does anyone have some tips on how to improve my chance to get a job while still waiting for the Express Entry and not being physically in Canada? Most recruitment agencies don't work with international candidates.

Thanks in advance

FYI - even though you may be LMIA exempt, you need an approved LMIA along with the job offer to get the additional 600 points under Express Entry.

You're very correct when you say recruitment agents won't work with international candidates. They as well as employers can pick and choose among those who have already landed, no need to bother with the expense of recruiting internationally.
You're better off focusing on getting a provincial nomination. Ontario for example, picks people from the pool who have 400 and above points for nomination. Go to the website of the different provinces, find out their requirements and begin to put these in place. That's a more productive use of your time and energy, cheers.

Stay positive and keep pressing on, that's the attitude that will keep you going till you succeed in getting a nomination. Ontario is on a break from giving fresh ITAs but be on the look out. The gates could open at any moment ;)
