SECOND TIME STUDENT VISA APPLICATION!! HELP!!!

I had applied for Study permit 3months back in the month of april.Course of Study being "Project Management",Level of study-Graduate Certificate Program at Centennial College.
My VISA had been rejected and the reason mentioned was that the course of study is not related to my previous education.

I've completed my Bachelor's in Bioinformatics in June'10 with 62% and have an IELTS score of 7.5. And from the past two months i'm working as a Software Professional.

Last week i've taken the medical test and i'm planning to apply again for the study permit but the course of study now being "Biotechnology Technician",Level of study- Fast Track at the same Centennial College.

I need your help and guidance as to what precautions i should be taking and what are the chances for my visa approval this time.

Well this time, your course of study is just fine. At least they will not be able to complain about any sort of mismatch this time. If they gave that as the only reason and nothing else, then I guess you just apply with all the documents (concentrate on the financial documents if the expenditure is not the same as before), rewrite your study plan, fill the study permit application form (tick YES where you have to answer questions like "whether you have ever been refused a visa application to canada" or something like that) and you are good to go. Hope you will get your visa this time

P.S. Forms (I am not sure which form got that, maybe the supplementary form) might have questions like "whether you have ever been refused entry to any country". Don't mention about Canada because they did not refuse your entry; they just refused the visa which comes before the entry. That question means whether you were deported at the airport by the immigration officer.

Project management is the discipline of Business and related to planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. whereas Bioinformatics is the application of computer technology to the management of biological information. Computers are used to gather, store, analyze and integrate biological and genetic information which can then be applied to gene-based drug discovery and development.

So i guess it is a study mismatch

dkalyan completed Bachelor in "bioinformatics" and is going for graduate certification program in "Biotechnology technician". What you are pointing out is the previous case. The current case is different and there is no study missmatch

I just went through the SPP Checklist and i found this - "New requirement, beginning for September 2011 entry applications: those who have previously been refused any Canadian study permit application are not eligible to apply under SPP."
As ive mentioned earlier that my Study Permit had been rejected, the documentation was done through SPP format.
Hence, now im not qualified for SPP?!!
Now, how well are my chances for getting Study permit applied through General category and this being my second attempt?
Would the Canadian Embassy call me for an interview (as there is only drop-box facility for me in my city) ??

Did they send you Medical Letter? They rejected you before the Medical or after it?

Last time they rejected you before or after the Medicals? And what was your timeline. From which country did you apply? Plz share your all timelines.

I APPLIED FOR canada . I GOT my MEDICAL done befeore submission and vo rejected my file pls tell me is biotechnlogy and holistic health practioner are different. i want to refile coz all subjects which i studied in biotechnology helpfull in studying holistic health practioner reply my question pls...

On April21,2011 i got a message from CHC to collect my Passport at the VFS Center, along with which i even received a refusal letter stating that the chosen course of study is not related to my previous education.

What?? You have done your medicals before you applied for the visa? Isn't it? If yes, why?

well there is a Pre-application Medical Examination for a student applying for Study Permit through SPP!!
One amongst the forms to be submitted through SPP : Copy of medical examination form IMM1017 if you opted to undergo a medical examination before submitting your application.

my visa was also rejected for may session and my course was hospitality management which was totally mismatch bcoz in +2 i hav economics,maths and computer and 1 year advance diploma in computer application. Now i'm applying in computer system technician-network specialist in mohawk college........plz tell me is this course is matched to my study or not?

about d funds....well, d total course fee is exactly $22,293
im havin an education loan for abt $18,000 and ive already paid about $1100 d last time i applied. so, the remaining amount which comes to around $3200 ill deposit it into d college account.
