Dear Members,
Need your help to proceed further.

I have applied for study permit on May 31, 2022 along with family through SDS. On June 17, 2022, I received passport request only for me while IRCC have refused applications of my family (spouse and 2 children). Main reason is only assessment of funds/assets and purpose of stay. I had given all details of funds in my application (GIC: 20,000$, fee receipt, statement of 40,000$ and assets evaluation documents 36,000$).
My question is
1) Why IRCC didn’t review my family applications along with mine instead of reviewed independently. I had attached all fund proofs with my application not with each application.
2) Can I raise objection or submit clarification about my family application regarding funds?
3) if new application is required to proceed, application will be applied by me through same GC account or by my spouse with new GC account independently?

Thanks in advance.

1) The applications separate and are assessed separately.
2) You can raise a webform and request reconsideration.
3) If reconsideration is refused, then you can certainly reapply. I can't answer the rest of your questions under this point.

Thanks for prompt response.
1. In reapplication case, i can apply for my family or now my spouse have to make her own account for reapplication with kids?
2. What is the processing time for reapplication if biometric and medical has already done?

1. I'm not sure I understand this question. Your spouse and kids need to reapply. You do not reapply. You were approved.
2. You should expect the same processing times.

Being your family is not guaranteed so Order GCMS notes because purpose of stay can mean many things. How old are your kids? If school age then they apply for study permits.

You understood right. I got approval while my family visa rejected based on financial conditions/funds only. Although i attached $20,000GIC including family expenses for one year, additional $40,000 bank statement and $36,000 assets.

But you said “assessment of funds/assets and purpose of stay” so that is two things. How old are your children? What did your spouse apply for? How long is your program? Assets aren’t considered unless liquid funds that you can use today. What amount for “family expenses”?

If i tell specifically, funds reason for spouse and both reasons for kids. I had applied temporary visa for kids. One is 11 year and other is 8 years.
10,000 additional in GIC for family and and 40,000 in bank ststement.

Your kids are school age so need to apply for study permits. How long is your program? Did you pay tuition? Spouse - TRV or SOWP?

So Your 2 years are paid? How much in total is left outstanding. You need notes to address purpose of stay.
17000 paid for one year and 17000 left. And this is the exact wording " The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application."

What will be attached in place of letter of acceptance for both kids.
