My niece (India) is applying for study permit under SDS (this week). She has paid the fee for the first year, has GIC for CAD 10K, done upfront medical and has 7.5 IELTS. It is unclear whether further financial documents (bank draft in convertible currency, sponsorship affidavit) are required or helps to submit as part of recent SDS process. The online forms/document checklist for SDS doesn't indicate any such things (proof of funds). Should they be added as part of cover letter to be submitted as Client Information?

What are others in similar situation (SDS) doing? Inputs based on recent submissions will be of great help. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for making time to provide your input! Will keep that in mind. I was only concerned about VO rejecting prematurely without asking for further documents.

Hoping others in similar context (SDS app submission this week and later) will pitch in too.

Thanks again for providing more information! My niece is going for undergrad course (4 years) that is another reason I am trying to clarify.

I take it that you got your study permit already. Best wishes on your studies!
