Applying through SDS for our family of three. Study Visa for myself, SOWP for my husband, and including our 8-year-old kid.

While applying online through SDS under the section "Proof of Means of Financial Support ", can I show combined funds within few of my bank accounts as well as my husband's back account?

I have close to 80k CAD to show within my accounts (liquid (50k) + mutual funds + deposits).
In combined funds we can show more liquid money (up to 150-200k)

My Profile:
  • I got accepted for UVic MBA (Fall 2021)
  • 36 years, 10 years experience in various IT roles, last 5 years within same company
  • Husband working in reputed IT company ( one of Google, Microsoft, Amazon) for past 12 years

Any suggestions? Do we need to submit a letter about including both of our funds ? Or is it not advised?

For SDS -- you need to include first year tuition receipt and GIC which is enough. But considering you have a spouse and child, you can show your bank statements with liquid money of 50k -- that is more than enough. Showing way too much funds might actually go against you.
