I have scored 70 in the point system for FSW class. My job is under the NOC Skill-level A. I have been in Canada for almost 2 years. I have done post-graduate studies for 6 months, and on-the-job training for about 4 months. I have a work permit and have an arranged employment. However, I don't meet the minimum requirement of having continuous work experience for 1 year.. am I still eligible for application for PR under FSW?

If you have a previous experience which falls in the 38 professions and have more than one year experience in that, yes you can apply under the FSW category 1. If not, you will have to wait to obtain at least 1 year of working experience in Canada then apply under the CEC.

Nuff respect!!!

You can also look into the PNP where you live, maybe you can be sponsored by your employer. For FSW, you do need a 1 year work experience to qualify to apply but you would be able to apply under Category 3 for people who've been in Canada for 12 months so that is not a problem.

Hi Leon,
But under category 3, I don't think I still qualify since I still have to work for atleast 1 year

Yes, that is what I said. To clarify, for FSW, you do need a 1 year work experience to qualify. Once you have that, you will have no problem applying under Category 3.
