SCLPC to extend OWP PLZ HELP!

Both my wife and I are currently working fulltime in Alberta. I have PR status, but she only has three years post graduate work permit. And her work permit will be expired in June 2015. We are trying to apply spouse or common-law partner in Canada class (SCLPC) because under the new policy she can extend her OWP with SCLPC application. But the issue is that the IMM5710 (Extend My Stay or Remain in Canada as A Worker) form requires LMO No. which is very difficult for her to get from her current employer.
Does anybody know for sure we need this LMO No? Do we have other options to extend her WP?

Hello...it is a different application so you are applying for a new open work permit, just put N/A for LMO, intended occupation, employer, place, etc.
