Hi All

Thanks for all the information till date.

Schedule A - back ground form, item 8 Personal history:

as i am 30 years old, i need to 10 years of history but the space is not enough. i know we need to add new sheet.

a) My concern here is whether
1. i can print page 2 of 4 again and write the remaining history in that page and attach at the end of this form
2. or should i prepare a word doc to furnish this information.

b) Item 6, should i write NOT APPLICABLE Or N.A in the space provided below the list of questions even all my selections are NO.

It is explicitly written as if you answer YES, provide details

c) My spouse has to be filled in education details in item 8 personal history to list all the 10 years.
do we need to include the gap of 2 or 3 months that usually we have after each high school/secondary/college???

d) Also, can TILL DATE be used in all possible boxes

No. Only write in that box if you answered yes to any of the above.

If your program was 4 continuous years , you can put for example, 2000/09-2004/06. Don't worry about breaks, UNLESS you were doing something during the break (such as a summer job.) You can have overlapping time periods, just no gaps. In that case, you can list the education the same way, but also write: 06/2001-08/2001, summer employment...


d) Also, can TILL DATE be used in all possible boxes

You can use it in any appropriate box, you will obviously have to hand write it after you complete most information. Just FYI, "Present" or "To Date" are more commonly used in Canada... As in, 2009/06 - Present...

is it really critical to mention the summer employment? because i missed that.. didn't even click my mind. I filed my application end of july and i am hoping now they are not gonna return it because that job doesn't even count as your experience, bu is it really something they are gonna be fussy about and send it back.. i hope not .. damn waste of time!

Here we are talking about the PERSONAL History, where yes, every detail matters. CIC won't return the application for this because they won't know if anything is missing until they do the background check. If there's a lot missing that is discovered during the background check, that may raise concerns.

I'm sure everyone misses one thing or another, but if you're concerned, you can submit a revised personal history after you receive your AOR (with an explanation of what you missed).
