Hello.
A message appears on my spam folder yesterday from: canada-immigration@international.gc.ca
and it stated the following message below, and I'm just kind of wondering if this is legitimate and I can't even open the 2 attachments.
Here is the message

A quote from a legitimate letter from CIC: "e-mails sent to you by CIC will end in “@cic.gc.ca” or “@international.gc.ca. "
Therefore the domain in question is good. It doesn't mean automatically that the email itself is genuine as the FROM field is easily spoofed. You must use common sense regardless the origin of the letter.

What are the attached instructions?

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. From my spam folder, I can't open the 2 attachments, but I can see them as: Link online...pdf and image001.png
In addition, I can see this: Attachments cannot be downloaded.Learn more
When I click on: Learn more, I get the message below:
Unable to download attachments

Well, I can`t decide for you. `Link online..pdf`seems strange but on the other hand, it might be perfectly valid PDF file.
I`m using Gmail, if the letter has PDF I can open it in preview without downloading. Gmail usually scans for viruses as well. If you also have gmail - you can try that.

You may move it out of spam folder and examine the PDF file more closely.

Thank you.
I'm using yahoo and am thinking maybe moving it out of spam folder to Inbox(if possible) or forwarding it to gmail and try it over there.

Hello
I forwarded it to gmail, opened it from there and I think it's about linking the application to the account.
This is online application and is viewable already in the application status tracker.
Thanks
