Saudi Police Certificate

Dear all,,

I worked in Saudi Arabia between 2003- 2004 for 11 months,
I applied on april 2006 to Damascus office, my file was transferred to Warsaw, and they asked me for an update. They told me that I have to obtain a police certificate from Saudi Arabia although I know that Saudi Authorities dont provide such certificates to non current residents..


any advise???

You are correct. Saudi Govt. will not issue a PCC for non-residents.
You should co-ordinate with the Saudi Embassy or Consulate nearest in your area.
If no chance to get one, then inform your visa office about your inability for obtaining the Saudi PCC. They may perhaps (?) consider your situation.

Actually, they do provide the police clearance for non-residents: i was a former resident of that country and got it after 5 months.

I live in Amman, Jordan.

I contacted the Saudi Embassy and they informed me that I have to contact my ex employer who in turn should do the paper work for me!!!!

The problem is: even if this strange scenario is applicable.......my relation with my ex employer is bad !!!! !!,, I will give him a chance to ruin my plans to immigrate !!

did anyone had a similar experience .. plz advise me>>

It does not have to be your EX employer, you can authorize any one lives in saudi to do it for you, with a formal writen authorization. Or you can go to saudi arabia in Umra visa and get the process done by yourself, it will only take you 2 weeks if you do it yourself there.

What I understand is that the applicant for Saudi PCC shold have a valid resident permit called "IQAMA" and should go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs personally to get an authorisation after verification of Iqama and paying necessary fees there ( it as SR 60/-few years back). Then with the MFA stamp he can go to the Police department from where the finger printing is done. PCC can be collected within a week which is in arabic. It need to be translated to English. I am not sure about getting a PCC from Saudi for those with a visit visa.

Yes man, you will be able to get it anyway, your situation will not be worse than the way my situation was. I left saudi arabia in an exit and re entry visa to canada, and never went back again, so i lost my residency there, and was able to get the saudi police clearance without even need to be physically there.


I just contacted the Saudi embassy in Canada, where i currently live, with a printed out copy of the CIO approval which i received from the CIO last year, copy of my Iqama, Copy of my entry visa to their country, copy of my driving lisense there, copy of my (exit-re entry) visa, copy of the passport i used in their country, and that was it.

I did not even have to send any copies from my EX employer or even contact him in that regard. They took long time (5 months) to issue the certificate to me in both languages Arabic and translated to English by the saudi embassy itself in Ottawa.


After that, they updated their website to add another option of getting the saudi police clearance by authorizing someone in saudi to get it done for you.

I sent my papers to a friend in Saudi arabia, he went to the police department. They told him that I need to contact the Saudi embassy in my country!!

The Saudi embassy asked me to contact the ex -employer, they were very uncooperative!!

It is very difficult to get a visa to Saudi and go by myself.. although i doubt it will work even if I go!!!!

Yes. It is possible to get Saudi Police Certificate with Visit Visa.

Saudi PCC is not provided to former residents, hence it is exempted from being asked by CHC, unless VO specifically asked for it, in which case a prticular form is provided by CHC as part of the process for obtaining Saudi PCC.

Have you been specifically asked to produce Saudi PCC? if yes, then did CHC provide you with the application form for Saudi PCC?

I am also a former resident of Saudi Arabia. I did every efforts to obtain Saudi PCC but all in vain. I was however able to provide PCC for other 3 countries I have lived for over 6 months. During the entire process, VO never asked for Saudi PCC and eventually I got the immigration.

I am sharing my experience with you in the hope that it may be of some help to others who are falling in the same situation.

Hi Theone,

Saudi Arabia certainly issues PCC to old residents. I got mine but took almost 9 months. I put together all the information such as your personal details, certified copy of your passport used for KSA work, your employer's address and contact details, your residential address in KSA, your finger prints taken by the current local police etc. Wrote a letter to them to tell them why this pcc is required. I applied for this pcc to the KSA embassy in my current country of residence. I did not enquire before-hand and just applied but supplied the embassy all the relevant information.

I also worked for few months in KSA and left kSA on a exit re-entry visa and then could not turn back. Good luck

I contacted the Saudi Embassy in Amman, they told me it is not their responsibility to issue police certificate, nor to mediate in anything relating to it... and bye, end of discussion!!!!

Maybe it is different in different places... but from here it is impossible,, I will write a cover letter to the Canadian embassy explaing that,
as it is non sense to travel to Saudia to obtain it,
I ll share my experience with you later on...
