Hello, please I chose NOC 10022 Which is advertising manager, and I studied English Language in.the University. The requirement is a degree in communications and any course related to communication. Please I'd like to know if English is related to Communication degree?

Also I have 2 years experience while I was schooling, but the owner used to give me cash as salary.
Please how do I prove I worked in.this organisation?

Communication degree will have business, public speaking courses etc. If you can show that you took courses the same as a communication degree then maybe. You will only know if you receive a nomination and apply. What is your SINP score?

There is no way in the world you will ever get a job in NOC 10022. I can see your English is extremely insufficient and these are very high-skilled, executive jobs that are only earned through 10+ years' experience + networking. You will not be coming to Saskatchewan, walk into a job in this field and earn $50/h. I work in this field. I can guarantee it. An English degree isn't going to get you a job as an Advertising Manager on its own, only a long career in advertising + your skills + connections will. If you're not in Canada and don't have experience, don't apply, because your resume will be thrown in the bin.

I work in the NOC below 10022, called 11202, which typically reports to 10022, and even with my 15 years' experience I earn about $75k per year. With 2 years' experience you'll be lucky to get a junior position in Canada earning $15-$20.

Please don't be negative with your comment. I am an advertising manager in my country and I have 5 years experience in it.

Where in my response did I even state anything negative? I said "Communication degree will have business, public speaking courses etc. If you can show that you took courses the same as a communication degree then maybe. SINP requires education to match the NOC. Telling you what a comm degree is. Did you take business, or public speaking courses? Have you looked and compared a com degree vs an English degree? Will your transcript show communications-related and advertising courses? You can have many years of experience but for SINP your education must match the NOC.

Anyways, good luck.

I LIVE in Saskatchewan. I KNOW how all this works. Your experience is effectively IRRELEVANT. I don't care if you were the Director of Advertising for a big brand, you will NOT be coming here and getting an advertising manager job. It will NOT happen. These are highly coveted jobs where you need significant Canadian experience and local connections. You literally have to know powerful people in Saskatoon and Regina to get such jobs.

I have 10+ years experience from the UK, I am far more experienced than you, and I can tell you that I had to go down 2 levels in order to even get an entry into my field. I dropped down from a Marketing Director to a Marketing Specialist before become a Marketing Manager - it took 3 years.

In Canada they will not care about your international experience - they will look at it as effectively irrelevant and get you into a specialist position to prove yourself before making you manager.

Also have a think about what you're suggesting here, NOC 10022 jobs have a median salary of nearly $50/h in Saskatchewan. I am giving you a written guarantee that you will not be making that type of money - not even Canadian marketing managers make that type of money, it is extraordinarily rare and to make that type of money here, you need to basically be connected to a huge company or work for a long time in such a position in the government.

Do not tell me "not to be negative" - I am giving you a dose of the harsh reality if you come to Saskatchewan. Expect a demotion and expect to make $20-$25/h. Don't like the truth? Then don't come. This is the harsh reality of immigrating to Canada, you will not be laterally transferring into a manager job unless a Canadian company headhunted you for it.

Also, I don't know about your migration circumstances, but you will not be getting an employer/SINP nomination in an advertising manager position unless you somehow by miracle got such a job on an existing work permit and your employer is paying you $50/h. If they did, I'm quitting and joining your company.

So an English degree is not a comm degree. All you can do is wait and see if your application goes to PIU for review. So you must have a family member in Saskatchewan. Your NOC is management so what management courses have you taken?

How do you have 84 points? You surely don't have a job offer?

What does public speaking and a business writing course have to do with an advertising manager job? The core duty of that job is to 1) Be able to direct and execute large scale advertising campaigns with exceptional ROI, and 2) Manage and grow a marketing team.

Good day. I'm applying for SINP and am from Pakistan. I am currently employed by Abbott Nutrition as an outreach supervisor. The main duties include organising a crew to carry out various marketing initiatives at various schools. I discovered that my NOC should be 41405. Any advice on my prospects of receiving a nomination, the quality of the NOC, or the scope of my potential work in Canada?

We're not the people to ask - you need to do your own research. Look at Job Bank, Indeed and other Canadian websites and Google job prospects and trends about your job in Canada. This country certainly has enough fat people to need the help.

Jeez! It was merely a harmless inquiry. No need to sharpen your knives. Good suggestion to look at job bank, Indeed and others. I definitely will do. Just a reminder to make the discussion more friendly over here or is it not what Canadians are most famous for?

Suggest you re-read my post, it was a factual answer to a factual question. We get lots of people asking for tailored job advice, remember that we're volunteers who do this for free, and that's as Canadian as it gets. GL.

I got an ADR... My education is relevant.

Please just stop talking down on others.
