I'm not sure this is the right place to ask following questions but I'm going to ask anyway.

1. I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 version 1 and 2 here in my home country. I'd like to know whether they work well on Fido in terms of bandwidth, frequency and other compatibility?

2. In case the Galaxy J7 Do not work on Fido, what are my other options? I'm looking for an inexpensive/affordable one.

3. Apart from Fido, what are other operators that offer month-to-month plans?

Please advise. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If your phone's unlocked then it is highly likely it will work on the Fido network, if not then you'll need to get it unlocked when you arrive in Canada. It's the same with every country in the world. Nobody can really answer your question but you.

In my experience Canada seems to lack somewhat with pay as you go sims, unlike the UK where they are just as popular as contract sims. For example, Rogers only offer one handset for pay as you go and it's a flip phone. You can buy a new handset and choose the best network if you want to go pay as you go but you're better off unlocking your Samsung.

Other operators hat offer pay as you go sims are Telus, Rogers, Bell, there's a few more.

My wife had used Koodo in Quebec for an year before we returned to USA. We saved tons of money using it.

Here is the list of mobiles that Koodo supports:
