same visa office 2 addresses

hi all,

I submitted police clearence request on the return address which was written on the CHC Letter envelop (1 grosvenor square, London, W1K 4Ab, United Kingdom) but on the letterhead the address was slightly change (Immigration Section, 38 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 4AA, United Kingdom)

I understand that these must be different departments of the same immigration office but I want to confirm that my documents have reached the correct place.... its been a month since i sent them.
the letter only mentioned to submit documents to the enclosed reply lable

Please share you thoughts.

The same thing happened to me-Vienna VO. There was a slight difference in the adress-when they asked me to send updated police cer. it was Visa.... something...which was not the same as when i previously sent some requested docs. I just assumed the same-different department ....

Update submission?
I got medical request and along with that a request to submit updated police cert. and any change in jobs and address in the last two years (since submitting the full docs-it was some form sent by them). These add.docs were to be sent separately than the medicals and an adress was given by them (the adress with Visa dept.)
I guess your question was regarding this answer

i mean to ask after submitting your updated police cert. to the visa office, did you get any reply from CHC? like passport request..

Now thinking about this issue (2 months later after sending the PPC)....one question came up to my mind....two questions.
The first one-does it really go to another department in the same VO?
And, if it goes to another department, does it mean another Visa officer finishes the final step?

Sonea-I didnt get any reply. It's been two months after my medicals reached London and after those up-dated docs reached Vienna. No reply from the VO. I am eagerly waiting for the passport request.

i checked both addresses on google maps its just 2 corners of the same building so im wondering if these guys will transfer the file internally to the concerned department or not... also i will send them another set of photo copied documents which were requested along with explaination letter of the confusion in both addresses, however they mentioned in the letter that they dont accept photo copies of police cert. but i think something is better than nothing

same here im also waiting for the PPR they mentioned in the letter that the officer will review my documents after 60 days of that letter which will be on 20th august.. last time i recieved add doc. request in time .. right after 90 days of the previous letter

Then........according to u, i will get something by the end of august, or beggining of september. And, there is logic that visa section and immigration section are two different sections in the same VOffice. I hope somebody who knows better than us will answer later.

Sonea....now I cant stop thinking...after sending those updated PPC I was asked by mail to send some proof about my travellings...and now I dont remember which address i sent it to. At that time i wasnt aware that it was Visa section and not Immigration section as before. Suppose I sent it to the immigration section ( I had 60 days to do that-and I sent it on the 3rd day). Everything else in the address was the same, exept the section. Will they still match it to my file? I have also sent those add.docs aatached as reply to their e-maail. Will it count in case I wrote immigration instead of visa section when sending the originals via DHL?

i think they will transfer that and they should... but to be on the safe side im sending the document photocopies again with exlaination so i think you should also e mail them about this confusion so that they will make a note of this rather than asuming that no documents were sent by you

OK....thanks . Its a good idea-but i always wonder whether they read e-mails cause people always complain about that. And as i wrote before, i have sent them a reply to there e-mail (e mail where they ask me to send some add.docs) and i attached those docs. First i will check with DHL if it is possible for them to tell me address of that particular shipment.

they do read e mails specially they get back to you with reply (takes about 15 to 20 days) when you send case specific enquiry.. as far as DHL is concerned i think it will be hard to trace 2 months old package details for them but you can still give it a try or you can check address on the parcel receipt if you still have that..

Sonea I have just contacted DHL and they told me I have written VISA section on the envelope-and they answered me (called me back ) in just 5 minutes
