Hi Guys. In the Schedule 1 Background/Declaration on question 9 they ask Have u the applicant or any of your family member listed in your application ever: in that last option it says: had any serious disease or physical or mental disorder. My wife has lupus and has had for 10 years. However, she is healthy. Should I still list it?

Thank you.

I guess if she is healthy you have nothing to worry about. If you write the wrong answer and they find out, they will revoke your PR. I am not experienced in this. it is just my opinion. Best to wait for PMM to answer.

i think you should mention and give details of when it was diagnosed and history of how active her lupus is.

Since, it is not a contagious and your wife's lupus has been inactive for 10 years, it should not be an issue.

still, it should be mentioned because it comes under the category of "serious disease" and it is a serious Disease from putting pressure on Canadian Health care is concerned...
