Hi Rupeshari and other senior members,
I have a problem that, i have written to ask for suggestions from members of the forum , but unfortunately nobody had a ny idea.

no i would like to contact the senior members for suggestions only , if it is only guessing at least it will ease the my worries.

Here is it, i am living in Europe as a student and before sending my application to Nova Scotis, i had only few months to go for my studies. Knowing fully well , that if i finish my studies with my application in London and if i go home i might have problems to get Visa if i am called for interview. So i decided to choose Abidjan which is receiving application for nationals for my home country.

When i finally sent my application to Abidjan in June 2009, after 7 weeks a letter came in , WRITTEN BY ABIDJAN BUT STAMPED AND POSTED FROM lONDON.

1)the QUESTION NOW IS WHO IS PROCESSING MY APPLICATION? Is it London or Abidjan. I am so confused and do not even know which visa office t o contact as on my AOR they said it will take on average 18 months. Also on the website they talk about 12 months and here they are ta lking about 18 months i am lost.

2)I have also changed my address and sent a mail to Abidjan , but no reply. Will they inform me later?

My online status also is still showing the same information i had from Nova Scotia. when will it change?

Think about someone who is lost in her process i am the one.

Thanks for understanding and waiting for suggestions.

Dear Friend,

The CHC is selected based on your present location. You must have provided the Europian Address while initial apps, that's why your mail came from CHC-London. As of now, your PR visa file shall be processed by London only. Even if you change the address now to one at Abidjan, the file will remain with London. 'Coz, CHCs are 'not changed' once applied, unless you direct them to do so, with valid reasons.

If you want to change London to Abidjan, you must write a seperate letter to them explaining the cause. The letter / mail should be sent to the address provided on your AOR letter. But again, if you continue to reside where you are now, they will not accept this request for change, as a metter of policy. For applying at Abidjan, you must reside at Abidjan, or the areas processed by that CHC.

Hope that helps.

i think when they change the address, they don't inform you back anyway.
Check you status online and see if your address is changed there.
I am not sure who is processing your application.
Did the mail come from CHC-London or from London. Sometimes I have gotten letters from UK but the postmark on the letter was from New Jersey. I think they might have one of their branches send the letter to reduce cost. CIC might have done the same thing.

Good luck.

Hi to Qorax,
Thanks very much for your quick response. I am a little relaxed now.
Yes my address from the beginning is always european address. I changed only within the same city and country. Ok my application from Nova scotia was sent to Abidjan , because that was the visa office from the initial application.

Hi to Rupeshhari,
thanks so much for the quick response. My staus online has not changed since i changed the address, it is still showing the same old information from Nova Scotia. I do not know why it is not changing.

The returned address on the brown envelop is that cic London, but the mail inside was written by Abidjan. Your suggestion that they might let London send it to save money might be the right idea.

I am waiting for more suggestion then i will think well which cic i should contact.

I am relaxed now.
