rules for contacting MP

Does anyone know the rules for contacting MP about case?

1. Must you have legal status in Canada to get help with case?
2.How long do you have to be waiting for a decision from IRCC to contact MP

*Webforms dont help..Still getting the same generic message blaming COVID
*GMS notes in my case is useless as well

Canadian MP's are not interested in student problems unless you are Canadian

Are you in Canada? If so, what is your status. If a visitor then you don’t live in Canada so a MP can’t really help. MPs can’t expedite your file.
