RQ sent no confirmation yet

Hello,

I am a new member here. I have applied for citizenship on November 1st, 2012. Received letter and book on February 2013. Have been RQed on October 2013. The letter asked me to send documents to Calgary, my local office, which I did on November 2013. So far have not seen an update on my online status confirming that they received the RQ. Is this normal? and what do you think I need do? Thanks

The CIC does not acknowledge receipt of RQs.*
It is important to send RQ responses with tracking numbers to verify delivery that way. Also, you can call the Call Centre and ask if there are any recent notes on your file.

*The CIT 0521 aka "Notice to Prepare for you Citizenship Exam", sent to thousands of RQ recipients in December, does acknowledge RQ responses (in a roundabout manner), but acknowledgement of RQs is not the main point of this form and it remains to be seen how or whether this form will be used in the future.

I have not received The CIT 0521 as most RQs did, which also worries me. Probably because not a long time have passed since I submitted my RQ. Looks like RQ recipients should be ready for a veeeeeeeery long ride.

i think it takes around 1 year to get the test letter. For me I submitted in Feb 2013 and got letter in Jan 2014.

Really don't worry about CIT 0521. It was designed for RQ recipients whose applications have been in process for years. For those who get the sense that the CIC may have forgotten about them. It was also probably designed to stave off Mandamus suits. And we really don't know if CIT 0521 really means anything.

Hi there, has anyone from 2011 applicants received test dates yet after receiving notice to prepare for citizenship test?? If yes, please provide your timeline!! Thank u
