Hi,
I am the one who was chosen by CIC for RQ. Applied in july and got the RQ last week...:( I have some questions:

I sent all passport color copies and their translation, T4, Tax returns, school records with the original application. Should I submit them again with other supporting documents OR just send the additional things?

Also would like to know from timeline perspective. I have read on the forum that pre-test RQ now a days is fast processing. Would like to hear from other 2014 applicants who got pre-test RQ and their timeline so far especially for test and Oath.

Thanks,

So sorry and shocked (infact) to hear about your RQ . I was of the view that nowadys RQs are rare especially if you have good proof of work history .

Yes I have seen 2014 applicants getting processed very faster even with an RQ .

Do you have any idea why you were RQed such as any gaps in employment , extensive travel, self-employed status etc .

Thanks in advance and all the best !

Why did you send copies in the first place? Now, you will have to spend more money to print and send again ;)
I have got RQ too and my application was received in June 2014.

I have bit more complex scenario and still in process of collecting documents.

You have send all them again. It wasn't required to send them with application but it required with RQ.

well....i think reason for my RQ was that after becoming PR, I went back for 10 months and our daughter was born there. I think this is one of the triggers for RQ.

Otherwise, I have no gaps in employment. On one employment since i came to Canada from day one. travel only 3 times for 2-3 weeks each for vacations to home country.

are you from Pakistan? Citizens of certain countries get RQs more often. Just keep in mind that.

Yeah you might be right as having a baby abroad after becoming a PR is a strong trigger for RQ .
