Hi all seniors,

This is urgent. I am so confused.

I got for RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)) request today for my FSW-PhD Stream application and I didn’t receive any request for medical yet! My online status just says application received.

I am paying RPRF today for me and my wife, but should I wait for the medical request to submit the medical result? Is it because I applied from inside Canada, that’s why they don’t need the medical? I have no request from CIC for this. I am afraid that whether I missed any emails from them (I hardly miss any!). So, do I do the medical by myself without them asking for it? How do I do this medical by myself and how do I handle the situation?

Can I be reasonably sure or can atleast say that I am close to getting a PR? How close? Thanks for your prompt reply.

First of all, it is normal, I read it happens sometimes. But about your questions:
You can do the medical and send it with RPRF to make your application faster. I received this in my email:
Medical examination for you and your spouse (Medical Instructions will be sent separately via email within the next 48 hours)
cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp
In the link there are instruction for doing it earlier than requested...
And it does not matter where you have applied from, take a look at (canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/applicant-from-phd-program-after-5-nov-2011-connect-here-to-get-status-t87348.16095.html), most people are from within canada and still need to do this.
About being sure, I hope so but nothing is certain as far as I know. Previously people was saying that RPRF is the last step, but I noticed some cases that were asked for more documents after it...
