I'm glad that you are nearing the end of this long immigration journey! Quick question, how long did you and your wife wait for the DNA sample collection date. My wife was placed on the interview list after a month since her application was in Singapore? However, in our application we informed them that my wife was pregnant. So for 7-8 months we waited for an interview date but heard nothing from Singapore until I emailed Singapore to inform them of the birth of my daughter, that was in July 2010. Singapore requested further documents, which we sent and did not hear from them until November 2010, requesting for
DNA test. So we been waiting almost a year now for an interview date and 3 months since we agreed to do the DNA test, which we already paid and I have underwent the DNA sampling collection here in Canada.

Anyway, how long was your wait for Singapore to set a DNA sampling collection date?

Hi Sovo, it seem you are really close to my timeline. My little boy was born in July 2010 then my wife was interview on August 25.2010. They request DNA at the interview. We wait 3-4 weeks they send us an letter which i throught it was an date for the DNA test which wasnt, it was just a form that we had to agreed that we will undergo the DNA test. Which we sign and send it to Singapore. Then 3 weeks later IOM call us to set up a date for DNA test (GREAT!!) the date was set for November 09,2010. Then my wife was requested to redo her Medical we recieve the letter on Jan-10-2011. They email me for RPRF on Jan-26.2011. Now they said they have send a letter for requesting PPR. (thank god) well hope this help you with the timeline. wish you luck.

Sovo, did they skip your interview and when straight to the DNA test??

Thinh99, good question. I don't know if they will skip the interview, but yes they sent the request for the DNA test in November 2010. My wife and I were happy because we thought this would be the interview date, which it wasn't. I have emailed singapore about the interview and DNA date and they told us that her application will be still in the interview and DNA queue, but didn't say what will come first. So I don't know if we skipped the interview. Oh, did you pay the fee for the DNA test? We had to pay about 700 to a DNA lab here in Canada. I hoping that they would schedule the while I was in Cambodia for 5 months, which they didn't and now I'm back in Canada. Anyway, I ordered caips to see what's going on.

Thinh99, have you applied for your child's certificate of citizenship? For us, it has been 5 months and still haven't heard from the embassy in Thailand. I know that the wait time for the certificate is long. Did they ask for further documents on top of the documents you provided with the application for certificate?

Sovo, its a good sign they send you the letter of DNA which i think they will waived your interview, because DNA is number one evidence to proof you and your wife relationship. FOr the child you just need to fill a form, you will need your citizenship certifcate as well. My was fast it took 5 month for the child POC and the pass port was only 1 week yuppyy my little one is all set to go only my wife now.

Thinh99, I hope they do waive the Interview because if they don't, we'll be waiting for a long time. That's awesome they you and your wife are nearly done and it must be exciting for the little one as well. I hope you hear news soon. Please keep me updated.

Question about the interview; how long was the interview and what questions did they ask your wife? This you end up going to the interview with your wife?

Sovo, since you have a child now tell your don't worry about the interview. MY wife was in there for 20 minute and she is done! other interviewers 1-2 hours time. About 3 weeks later a letter stated "we don't have enough evidence to proof our relationship is genuine,' therefor we must undergo an DNA test to proof our relationship is genuine. In your case they request an DNA test there is nothing to worry of the interview!you can't go wrong cause there is a child to proof yor relationship is genuine. i will keep you of there is any news in my case keep me posted of your case. good luck!!

Oh by the way Sovo, i was there during the interview but they did not ask me to go in, other who did when with their wife or husband was interviewed. You don't have to be there during the interview time! But if you want to there is no lost either. For me i just want to show support to my wife.

indolady when did you paid??i paid on Jan 26. 2011 my wife med was done Jan 10 2011. let's hope for the best. i;ll keep you updated.

I got a letter from Missisauga that they received my payment (sent on 15 february), and said that they will inform Singapore office. Im already in Canada with my Husband, but I cannot do anything without PR, and make it worst, I already got job offer but cant start working

I did everything like med, documents, etc in Indonesia on March 2010, Singapore start processing my application on June 2010.

Hello All

Are Client ID or File # assigned by CPC-M for sponsor and New Delhi for applicant different?? Or it is same for both?

I plan to pay RPRF without delay (I didnt pay it at the time of filing application). Which Client ID should I mention on the RPRF payment receipt?

I paid my RPRF before they request me to pay, hopefully it'll make things goes faster. My husband paid for it to Missisauga, so he used his Client ID.

Thinh99, I had sent them an email about a month or two ago, basically they told me to wait patiently for news from their office. I have a feeling that we might hear something in march since that will mark one years since we receive a letter about interview, and 4 months since their request for DNA.
