The fees is CAD490, but when you do the conversion in INR, I believe the local CHC fixes a exchange rate for some duration. for e.g. check the website http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visafees.html, the rate here is not exactly today's exchange rate. I also sent Rs.40,000, but it was returned asking for Rs.39,800/- dated 21 Jul '09. So the fee is Rs.19,900/- for single person.

Nothing to worry, just wait until you get your DD is returned and they will give you the correct amount, also you never know they might accept your DD.

Dear sharma77,

I think it's best for you pay the RPRF in CAD to avoid the fluctuation rate and delay the process. I always made the payment in CAD, just to be on the safe side.

Wish you good luck in the process.

pls ignore Honeydew's reply if you are in India...

there is someone in the forum who had to make his draft 3-4 times just because he sent it in CAD first time around.

Mine was accepted without any issues... this is the amount printed in CHC site since May 2008. So, they don't seem to bother about regular fluctuations. send 19900 INR only... double it in case spouse is in the application.

Hi All

Please confirm while paying PRPF the draft has to be in favour of

1)Receiver General for Canada
or
2)Canadian High Commission payable at New Delhi.

3) If the draft is in Canadian Dollars then it has to be in favour of "Receiver General for Canada"
or
4) If the draft is in Indian Rupees then its has to be in favour of "Canadian High Commission" payable at New Delhi.

Please advise which is the correct procedure.

point 4 is definitely correct. Not sure about the points 1 and 3.

Please advise which is the correct procedure.
