Hi all,
I've been looking at the guidance for filling in the application form and I'm struggling with a couple of points where I have no idea what to fill in. I've tried calling VSF Global but they were very kind in saying that they can't offer any additional guidance and sent me back to square 1. I'm hoping that someone here will be kinder and can help me.
The first question is regarding the immigration status in the UK. I've been a resident in the UK for almost 4 years (student) and I obtained my Yellow Card certificate in 2012. This expires 4 months after my course finishes, so around the end of November 2016. I could put student as my immigration status, but since I'm planning to travel in September 2016 for 2 weeks, I'm worried that this might negatively affect my application. The other choice would be to select Worker as my immigration status. The problem with that is that the form requires an expiration date, which I do not have. Being a Romanian citizen allows me to come, stay and work in the UK for as long as I want. I could put Foreign National as that does not require a start or end date, but not sure if it's appropriate. The only other option would be to select other and then type in EU National to explain the reason. Can anyone please advise on this?
The second question is regarding employment history. They are asking for 10 years worth of employment history and I've not been working that long. Looking at the form, however, you only have about 4 fields to put in your work history and that covers my last 4 years (I've had 4 jobs during this time). I have another 2 jobs from when I was in Romania that I have no room to include. Do you think that it would be OK to keep just the 4 positions, or do you have any advice on how I could provide the details for the additional jobs?
I also have another question regarding the application process. If I do the application online, how do I get the visa on my passport? Will I have to send it following the online application?
Many thanks for your help.
Maddie.
