I am a resident of UAE and my application is being processed by London office under the skilled worker category. I have initiated my application on May 2005, submitted my documents last November 2009, and recently I was requested by London office to submit (Medical Examination) along with (Right for permanent residence fee). Hence, I sent both. My questions are:
1 – Why I was not requested to send my (Original Passport) to stamp the visa on it although the (Right for permanent residence fees) were requested?
2 – Does the above unofficially imply that my application is approved?

Many thnx

Sometimes the medical request and PPR [passport request] clubbed together specially new delhi. But overall it comes seperately. They demand RPRF at time of medical if u did not pay it with full application.There is no need to worry,when your security background check completes you will get PPR.

It goes Like this::

The Process in a Nutshell:

Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Qualitative Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >

Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Eligibility Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >

Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
*The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together.

Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".
