Hello everyone, new to the forum.

My application for citizenship just went into IP.

I am from Richmond Hill, ON. Any idea which office this application is being processed in? And are they quick? I can't really tell by the spreadsheet how quick certain offices process applications, but I remember reading Mississauga was one of the worst ones?

Thanks.

I live in Markham, and my application is processed by the Scarborough office. I believe Richmond Hill too would be processed by the same office, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

I had similar question regarding this (since I was planning to move to Richmond Hill during processing), and called the call center repeatedly, but nobody could give me a straight answer. I contacted my MP to do this inquiry, and in the end (after about 2 weeks), they told me that Richmond Hill too would be processed by the Scarborough office (at least for my area). But at this time, I didn't want to take the risk, so I delay my moving until after oath (which will be later this month).

The processing times vary greatly, even those within the GTA. Scarborough is fast up to Decision Made, then it would make you wait months to receive your oath invitation. Missisauga seems to be super slow, but once you're done with your test, they'd give you the oath invite immidiately.

Niagara Falls is really fast too, and a lot of Niagara applicants got their citizenships after only 3 or 4 months.

There should be separate spreadsheets for different processing offices. Unlike PR application, it is impossible to infer how long you have to wait unless you have data of applicants from the same processing office.

I live in Stouffville and my CIC office is Scarborough. I think Richmond Hill will be too.
