Hey there - I was reviewing the document checklist (I'm like, centimeters away from mailing my application. I'm just doing final "completeness checks."
The section of the checklist that asks about supporting your spouse in Canada - it says if you're working in Canada, you need to provide your CRA documents and a letter from your current employer.
What if I'm working outside of Canada? It just says show evidence that you'll be able to support your spouse. I've included a letter explaining that I'm currently working in the U.S.A., and I included statements outlining my savings, retirement plans in the U.S.A. and Canada, and letters from my parents saying they'll support me if need be, as well as an offer letter/job description of the job that I'll be taking at my family's business. I also included a pay stub from my current job showing my current earnings (I'm salaried. I could probably include multiple paystubs if need be.)
Do I need a letter from my employer similar to one I would get if I was working in Canada? I mainly don't want to hassle my boss, and I just want to get this mailed off finally without further delays (I mean, I could probably get it tomorrow, but blehh.)
What should I do?
