My medical passed after 20 days of AORgdp79 said:My AOR was 21 January 2016
Medical exam was 15 January 2016 in IOM Manila
As of 2 February, it's still "Review in Progress". I'm reading many 'Pass' the medical right after the AOR....
Is something wrong?

Where does that number come from? Is there anything official on the CIC site or is this just a guess?Yoda24 said:Medicals takes 3 months max. to pass, if you do not see any status update post that, do raise a CSE and get in touch with CIC.
Be patient and have faith.
Here is the link you can refer.Direction North said:Where does that number come from? Is there anything official on the CIC site or is this just a guess?
It says:Yoda24 said:Here is the link you can refer.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=983&t=4
It clearly states
For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).
Well, if you read into the words, yes it normally. But if there is no update after 3 months, applicant can raise a CSE and ask the officer to look into the case.Direction North said:It says:
"[...]it normally takes three months[...]" . There is nothing like "maximum" mentioned. The processing times you find for the steps are AVERAGE times, please don't state them as a maximum.
But CSE normally takes 30 days before they respond? or am I wrong?Yoda24 said:Well, if you read into the words, yes it normally. But if there is no update after 3 months, applicant can raise a CSE and ask the officer to look into the case.
Every Local VO has different turn around time around CSE, when I raised an query, I got an email from local VO stating the turn around time was 10 business days.Positive12 said:But CSE normally takes 30 days before they respond? or am I wrong?
I'm equally frustrated. Review of medical in progress since early October 2015. My doctor confirms everything is ok with my result. I don't know what the issue is with CIC.....![]()

As you shared, your doctor confirmed your medicals were fine, suggest to hang on, I understand its frustrating, I have seen folks who's medicals took time to update but their application was processed within 6 months.
Hi ,, my own experience is that whenever it takes more time, then & most likely there is something happening with ur file, mine was on hold with same status for 3 Months because of a silly mistake done by the clinic.. other friend as well took him two months to get "passed" after he was contacted by VO to send the reports directly to them.. so in other words and in general.. YES there might be something wrong...Positive12 said:But CSE normally takes 30 days before they respond? or am I wrong?
