Hi everyone,

I got married last year in Canada, my wife is Canadian citizen as you might have guessed already I was issued a visa (TRV) for 6 months I spent 6 months in Canada with my wife and applied for extension for 1 month on my TRV which was granted, I left Canada on the very day my extended visa was expiring. Currently I am working in UAE as a Software Developer and my wife is in Pakistan, I would like to go to Canada for holidays in September with my wife. I have a valid US visa for another 3 years and I have traveled to few countries (Japan,Uk,Germany,South Africa) in recent years, I am afraid I might not get a visa because of the extension.

any suggestions to improve my chances of getting a visa would be greatly appreciated.

Same as all others.

Show strong ties to your country of residence. Show strong evidence you do not want/need to immigrate.

Personally I would suggest that she should travel until your PR is processed. If you haven't filed it then do so, if you do not plan to apply for it then show evidence that backs up that decision.

Can you kindly provide the step-by-step procedure on how you applied for online extension of TRV. Also if you can help in letting know what docs were submitted along with this and how.

Hi Shaikhzees,

I don't remember much since it was last year may,june. I did submit my passport,proof of funds(TD statement),photo and a letter explaining why I need to stay for another month.
